Eve, l’opus prima degli Omega da Rimini, è un disco notevole e che ha uno scopo ben più profondo rispetto alla musica normale. Scopriamolo con loro in questa intervista
ME Il black metal può essere un mezzo per destrutturare la nostra realtà e trovare qualcosa di vero?
Vero o irreale sono concetti totalmente relativi. Per un folle le visioni sono reali quanto per chiunque altro lo è il mondo che ci circonda. La musica può aprire il velo di questa realtà, quel che si trova oltre può essere reale o intangibile, dipende tutto da chi sta da questa parte del velo e quanto è disposto ad andare oltre.
ME Che obiettivi ha Eve?
Lo scopo di Eve è quello di liberare la mente dalla dimensione materiale che ci circonda e portarla ad un livello differente dove può muoversi senza vincoli di spazio e tempo, la negazione totale dell’io materiale in favore di un io più ampio.
ME Il sovrannaturale in musica ha senso?
Per sovrannaturale in musica si intende qualcosa che va oltre l’ascolto, qualcosa che può tessere una dimensione che diventa quasi reale all’interno della mente di chi sta ascoltando. Questo è lo scopo degli Omega.
ME Perchè vi siete ispirati al libro di Voynich e cosa ne pensate di tale libro?
Il manoscritto Voynich è un enigma che è rimasto intatto per oltre 500 anni, un opera visionaria e geniale a prescindere da tutto. Sin dai tempi più antichi l’uomo è attratto dall’ignoto, da ciò che è ermetico; il manoscritto è molto più che un libro, è la rappresentazione fisica di tutto questo.
ME Ci sono artisti con il quale vi piacerebbe collaborare?
Ci sono artisti che stimiamo, altri che ci ispirano, che siano essi musicisti o artisti in senso più ampio, fino ad oggi non abbiamo mai pensato ad una collaborazione, gli Omega sono una realtà estremamente ermetica, per ora le collaborazioni non sono nei nostri progetti.
ME Cosa vi ha spinto a suonare black metal?
Cercavamo una dimensione sonora concettuale che andasse oltre alla musica, cercavamo qualcosa che potesse condurre la mente in una dimensione differente rispetta a quella alla quale siamo abituati, il Black, il Doom, l’Ambient sono la naturale inclinazione musicale di chi vuol raggiungere questo scopo.
ME Se Eve dovesse essere un libro a chi affidereste le illustrazioni?
In un certo senso Eve è un libro, è la nostra personale interpretazione del Manoscritto Voynich, non solo musicale, ma anche visiva. Se non fosse morto da almeno cinque secoli, il misterioso autore del libro stesso sarebbe l’artista più adatto a tale scopo. Attualmente abbiamo deciso di rielaborare personalmente le illustrazioni del manoscritto e trasportarle all’interno della nostra visione, sfogliando il booklet del disco si può capire di cosa sto parlando.

ME Can black metal be a means of destroying our reality and finding something real?
True or unreal are totally related concepts. For a fool the visions are as real as anyone else is the world around us. Music can open the veil of this reality, what is beyond it can be real or intangible, it depends entirely on who is on this side of the veil and how much is willing to go further.
ME What is Eve’s goal?
The purpose of Eve is to free the mind from the material dimension that surrounds us and bring it to a different level where it can move without constraints of space and time, the total negation of the material in favor of a larger ego.
ME Does the supernatural in music make sense?
For supernatural in music, something that goes beyond listening, something that can weigh a dimension that becomes almost real within the mind of those who are listening. This is the purpose of Omega.
ME Why did you inspire Voynich’s book and what do you think of that book?
The Voynich manuscript is an enigma that has remained intact for over 500 years, a visionary and ingenious work regardless of everything. From the earliest times man is attracted to the unknown, from what is hermetic; the manuscript is far more than a book, it is the physical representation of all this.
ME Are there artists with whom you would like to collaborate?
There are artists we estimate, others that inspire us, whether they are musicians or artists in the broader sense, to date we have never thought of a collaboration, Omega is an extremely hermetic reality, for now collaborations are not in our projects .
ME What made you play black metal?
We were looking for a conceptual sound dimension that went beyond music, we were looking for something that could lead our mind to a different dimension respects what we are accustomed to, Black, Doom, Ambient are the natural musical inclination of those who want to achieve this goal .
ME Should Eve be a book to whom you would like the illustrations?
In a sense, Eve is a book, it is our personal interpretation of the Voynich Manuscript, not just musical, but also visual. If he had not died for at least five centuries, the mysterious author of the book himself would be the artist most suitable for that purpose. Currently we have decided to personally rework the manuscript illustrations and carry them inside of our vision, browsing the booklet can understand what I’m talking about.
