I Napalm Death fermano la nostra astinenza con un doppio disco di brani inediti, pezzi apparsi in split o raccolte, e canzoni rimaste fuori dagli album che vanno da The Code Is Red…Long Live The Code del 2004 fino all’ultimo Apex Predator – Easy Meat del 2014.
In questo intervallo di tempo molte cose sono cambiate, non lo schifo che fa il mondo e la rabbia di questi signori inglesi che più passano gli anni più sono incazzati. Chi li ha visti dal vivo sa che tornado possono essere i Napalm Death, un gruppo che lascia davvero un’impronta e che ha creato in pratica un genere musicale. L’ottimo livello dei pezzi presenti in questa raccolta conferma la bontà della produzione musicale del gruppo di Birmingham che, nonostante i numerosi album della loro discografia, ha quasi sempre colpito nel segno. Per intensità e discorso musicale questa raccolta può essere intessa come un disco vero e proprio più che un momento interlocutorio, dato che qui ci sono i Napalm Death seconda versione, ovvero quelli dal suono più attuale, non più lento, ma più precisi e chirurgici, ed in pratica tutto quello che hanno fatto per la Century Media. Ci sono momenti davvero notevoli come Outconditoned, cover dei Despair comparsa sulla raccolta Covering 20 Years Of Extremes. I Napalm Death sono un gruppo estremo composto da persone intelligenti e di cuore, e questo li ha sempre fatti amare tantissimo dal pubblico, che è rimasto fedele durante gli anni, e forse questa raccolta ne è la prova maggiore, poiché il gruppo inglese lascia canzoni di ottima qualità fuori dagli album ufficiali e ciò prova la qualità del materiale. Oltre novanta minuti di Napalm Death, una match di football senza intervallo in compagnia dei nostri estremisti musicali preferiti. I tafferugli sono consentiti.
