Il cantante Maurizio Di Timoteo ha commentato: “Siamo entusiasti di pubblicare questo video. L’abbiamo girato in una location a dir poco apocalittica, la vecchia fabbrica della Bugatti, e ha coinvolto un cast di 20 persone inclusi attori, truccatori e comparse. E’ stata un’esperienza incredibile!”

Nel video un viaggiatore vaga in un mondo distopico consumato da una divinità ibrida uomo-macchina chiamata l’Oracolo. L’uomo, colmo di dubbi e rabbia, chiede al folle idolo le ragioni di questa distruzione. Lei gli rivela che la ragione di questa epurazione è il miglioramento dell’umanità, poiché solo attraverso la sofferenza le nostre anime possono rinascere.

La band ha annunciato di essere diventato un quintetto con l’ingresso in formazione di Carlos Reyes Vergara. Vergara sostituisce Di Timoteo alla chitarra ritmica, permettendo a Di Timoteo di concentrarsi sulle voci e sulla creazione di nuovi contenuti.

Quella di Londra è stata una performance realmente incredibile, accompagnata dal gruppo circense Incandescence, e costellata non solo dai successi di una carriera ormai ventennale, ma anche da molti brani mai eseguiti prima dal vivo. Finalmente tutti i fan avranno la possibilità di vivere (o rivivere!) una serata storica.

La band racconta: “Quello che è successo all’O2 Forum Kentish Town a Londra il 19 gennaio è stato davvero magico. Un’esperienza che vivi una volta nella vita, sia come persona, sia come band. Il lavoro che c’è stato dietro, la tensione prima di salire sul palco, l’intensità della performance, l’energia del pubblico, sembrava tutto completamente nuovo per noi. Andava oltre tutto quello che avevamo vissuto fino a quel momento. Non si è trattato di un semplice show. È stato un evento, una festa di compleanno, la celebrazione di un anniversario e, prima di ogni altra cosa, un immenso ringraziamento a tutti quelli che ci hanno accompagnato in questo viaggio. E adesso, con la pubblicazione di ‘The 119 Show – Live in London’ abbiamo la possibilità di condividere la magia anche con quei fan che purtroppo non erano riusciti a partecipare alla nostra festa” – Lacuna Coil, luglio 2018.

I Lacuna Coil chiuderanno proprio a Milano il loro “119 SHOW TOUR” in una location intima (Santeria Social Club).

I primi mesi del 2018, inoltre, hanno visto Cristina Scabbia nell’inatteso ruolo di Coach di The Voice of Italy. I Lacuna Coil sono stati recentemente premiati come “Best Live Band” ai prestigiosissimi Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards di Londra. Il MEI, Meeting Annuale degli Indipendenti, ha annunciato che darà loro uno speciale riconoscimento per i vent’anni di carriera, consegnandolo di persona il 29 settembre a Faenza (Ravenna).

I groove metallers SOUTH OF NO NORTH annunciano l’uscita del loro primo videoclip ufficiale per il brano ‘Command (is better than f***)’, secondo singolo estratto dall’EP d’esordio ‘Stubborn’.

La band napoletata esprime una dissacrante visione della società odierna unendo influenze sperimentali moderne ad un approcio groove metal vecchia scuola, che contraddistingue il loro sound potente e diretto.

I SONN hanno commentato : ‘Command is better than fuck’ (da un antico proverbio napoletano ”O cummanna’ è meglio d’ ‘o fottere’) rappresenta la necessità dell’uomo di prevaricare, di assumere il controllo schiacciando i suoi simili. Dato che spesso le parole non bastano ad esprimere questo concetto, dovevamo mostrarvelo. E dato che beviamo, e non riusciamo ad assumere il controllo sull’alcool, questo video presenta una certa vena ironica, anche perché a nostro avviso un classico video metal in cui prenderci troppo sul serio non aveva senso di esistere.”

L’EP ‘Stubborn’ e’ stato pubblicato nel Novembre del 2017 mentre il videoclip di ‘Command (is better than f***)’ è stato prodotto dai South Of No North.

“Spotlight” è l’ultimo singolo della band Post-Hardcore lombarda “When Venus Weeps”.
Pubblicato in data 8 settembre su tutte le piattaforme digitali, “Spotlight” è una reinterpretazione del celebre brano del dj e produttore Marshmello in collaborazione con il defunto rapper Lil Peep.

The band comments: “Far From Home” grew out of an early morning’s vocals idea and into a very Madder song. Everything we love is here: contrasts and melody, fragility and heaviness, anguish and hope. The lyrics are about a long night’s uneasy journey into day, about the gut-wrenching worry that rides on the back of truly caring for someone.

When we approached artist Costin Chioreanu about creating the video for “Far From Home”, we gave him the music, the lyrics, and otherwise an absolutely free rein. The result is his unique interpretation of the song and the feeling, and when we first saw it, we were all tearing up. Costin gave the song another dimension, and we are so grateful to him for expanding our music into the visual realm.”

“Wake the Sleeping Dragon!” was put to proverbial tape by friend and producer The Jerry Farley at Nova Studios in Staten Island, New York over two weeks and a half, while Danish producer Tue Madsen mixed and mastered SICK OF IT ALL’s latest rager at Antfarm Studios in Aabyhøj, Denmark. What helped the process run smoothly was Farley’s early involvement as SICK OF IT ALL progressed with the songwriting.

Il nuovo album “Hexenhammer” sarà pubblicato il 9 novembre su Nuclear Blast.

3-track doom metal EP of cosmic dread och existential horror.

19 July 2018 marked the release date of Swedish doom metal outfit Vanhävds debut EP Låt köttet dö (”Let the flesh die”). The EP is a sampler of a future album, showcasing both a slower and faster side of Vanhävd’s vision.

Expect pitch black sound design, funeral doom anti-grooves, melancholic melodies and blackened mid-tempo blasting.

Lyrical themes concern the intersection between visceral and existential horror, drawing inspiration from writers such as Norwegian antinatalist philosopher Peter Wessel Zapffe and horror author Thomas Ligotti.

Among the band members are the creative brains behind synthwave/metal hybrid Irving Force and underground doom techno act Starving Insect, promising an unorthodox approach to metal song writing and production.

Final note: Fuck the loudness war. This production is purposefully highly dynamic and uncompressed, with a dynamic range of DR12. Play it loud!
