Il video di “365”, dall’album “Helix” in uscita ad ottobre (Spinefarm Records).

Spinefarm Records è lieta di annunciare la pubblicazione di “Helix”, il nuovo album degli AMARANTHE, previsto in uscita il 19 ottobre 2018. Oggi la band presenta anche il primo singolo con il video di “365”, girato da Patric Ulleaus. L’album è il primo con il nuovo cantante Nils Molin che va a sostituire Jake E.

Vocalist and composer Elize Ryd offered her take, saying, “Helix describes the concept of how the past forms us and how life makes us become. No excuses, no regrets. We express the challenges and the uplifting moments in time, and all that in between with the sounds that we love. We want to dedicate this album to all the fighters and friends out there.”

In support of the new album, Amaranthe will embark on a European Tour with Powerwolf in October / November.

Dopo la conquista del Giappone a fine agosto, MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST sarà in tour in Europa a ottobre e novembre per presentare l’ultimo album in studio “Resurrection”, uscito su Nuclear Blast.

Qualche giorno fa la band ha dato un piccolo assaggio del video ufficiale di “Take Me To The Church”, girato recentemente a San Pietroburgo (Russia).

Michael Schenker commenta: “Oggi pubblichiamo il nuovo video di ‘Take Me To The Church’, canzone tratta dall’album di debutto di Michael Schenker Fest, ‘Resurrection’. L’abbiamo girato in una vecchia chiesa di San Pietroburgo, Russia, e durante il concerto tenuto la stessa sera in città. È stata un’esperienza interessante e i fan russi sono stati grandiosi per la riuscita del video”.

Doogie White aggiunge: “‘Take Me To The Church’ era una scelta ovvia, visti i responsi entusiasti tanto in sede live quanto da parte di critica e fan, quindi abbiamo deciso di girare il video. È la prima delle tre canzoni scritte da me e Michael per ‘Resurrection’, proseguendo la collaborazione iniziata in ‘Temple of Rock’. È sempre affascinante vedere come altri interpretano i testi e li portano in vita visivamente. Sapendo poi che ai fan piacciono le riprese dal vivo, ne abbiamo aggiunte alcune. Una volta visto il video e imparate le parole, non potrete fare a meno di cantare la canzone in coro, quando verremmo nella vostra città a suonare”.

Shining who recently announced their intention to BLOW THE DOORS OFF with new album Animal, have shared a lyric video for the title track alongside a huge run of European dates.
Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist & songwriter, frontman Jørgen Munkeby comments, “while writing these songs we always thought about how we could make sure they would sound awesome in a live setting. Now we finally get to play them there! In club somewhere in Europe, with a sweaty and excited audience screaming along! Can’t wait to see you all there!”
With new album Animal set for release on 19th October through Spinefarm, Munkeby is making his most audacious move yet with the former jazz-metal collective.
“I was tired of doing the same thing,” he explains. “I was done with ‘Blackjazz’ and wanted to create something new and exciting. I needed a change. I’m finally at the point where I have nothing to lose and everything to win. We had 360 degrees to play with so we could’ve gone in any direction. This new record is more Muse than Meshuggah, more Ghost than Gojira, and more Biffy Clyro than Burzum!”

From its retina-frying artwork to its relentless stream of memorable refrains, Animal is simply the ultimate 21st century party metal carnival. Entirely saxophone-free yet utterly unmistakable as a Shining release, it’s the Norwegians’ most startling record yet.

RIVERSIDE’s Mariusz Duda checked in with the following comment about the album’s overall concept: “I’d been thinking about exploring “post-apocalyptic” regions for a long time. I read books, watched films, played video games, all connected by stories about an attempt to survive in a world that had just ended. But writing such a story myself didn’t make much sense until now. RIVERSIDE are starting a new chapter and after our recent experiences, a story like that has gained more meaning. “Wasteland” is mostly about what’s happening in the world these days but it also makes a reference to the tragedy that befell the band in 2016. Musically, we’ve returned to darker sounds but we have also turned a new page and recorded the album in a different style. It’s still RIVERSIDE but expressed in a much deeper and more mature way. Most artists say the same thing while promoting their new releases: that they have just created their best work to date. I won’t say that because everything we have done so far has been consistently very good and unique. But I will say that we have never had such an incredible emotional load on any of our previous releases, and it’s not likely that we will ever make such a charged album again. “Wasteland” is an epic, multidimensional, poetic and very deep album. Perhaps of the once in a lifetime kind.”

Formed in 1997, Nashville Pussy preached its sleazy gospel over the past couple of decades alongside Motörhead in every rock outpost from Asia to Europe and back again.

Raised on a diet of Marshall stacks, Gibson Guitars, Jack Daniels and weed, Nashville Pussy is the bastard offspring of foul mouthed demented hillbilly ice-cream man Blaine Cartwright and tractor driving, nude art school model guitar prodigy Ruyter Suys. Nashville Pussy quickly gained a reputation for being like “AC/DC with a female Angus” in Ruyter’s blues meets punk frenzied guitar solos and Blaine’s hilarious “jailhouse nursery rhyme” lyrics.

The band’s bass player – spicy Colombian/Californian Bonnie ‘Bon’ Buitrago – began as a teenage fan of the band sneaking into shows, determined to make the leap from audience member to member of the band by mastering her craft on Bass. Atlanta native and ex-landscaper Ben Thomas on drums has quickly become known for his showmanship, precision and all around sensuality behind the kit.

“We are Rock ‘N’ Roll’s dirty little secret” – says Suys – “blissfully outliving musical trends we never knew existed. More than ever, everyone needs to escape to a place where they can pretend they don’t give a shit, let their hair down and get loud, sweaty and dirty. Their 7th studio album Pleased To Eat You is certainly another milestone recording by the band you’ll need to share with your mom: Bourbon, Bar B Que, horse farms, good people and a great fucking record. ROTTING CHRIST have reached another peak in their long career that now spans over more than three decades. The Greeks have literally stood the test of time. With a steady core line-up and their well-honed live delivery, ROTTING CHRIST are filling concert halls and reap enthusiastic crowd reactions wherever they go. This demonstration of love from their followers is not just driven by nostalgia as the band has managed to evolve and grow, while staying relevant beyond the classics with their highly acclaimed latest albums such as ‘Aealo’ (2010), ‘Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού’ (2013), and ‘Rituals’ (2016).

With more than 30 years, 12 studio albums, a dozen EPs, singles and split releases, as well as more than 1.250 shows under their belt, it is about high time to take a retrospective look at this band’s fascinating musical development by picking a select choice of key tracks covering the many facets of ROTTING CHRIST that have sparkled over the years. ROTTING CHRIST were founded by Sakis Tolis and his brother Themis in the year 1987. Starting out on a basis of death and grind, the Greeks had already embarked on a darker musical journey by the time their debut full-length ‘Thy Mighty Contract’ (1993) was revealed. On the following seven albums covering a ten-year period from ‘Non Serviam’ (1994) to ‘Sanctus Diavolos’ (2004), ROTTING CHRIST steadily defined their own distinct style by experimenting with elements from death, heavy, and gothic metal without betraying their black roots. At the same time, the band went from underground heroes to headliner status. With the highly acclaimed ninth album, ‘Theogonia’ (2007), the Greek stalwarts added an unmistakable native element to their sound, which has remained with them as a signature trademark ever since. Exploring the mythical legacy of cultures around the globe let to ROTTING CHRIST’s massively successful latest release, ‘Rituals’. With ‘Their Greatest Spells’, the Greek metal icons musically revisit their exciting legacy and even contribute a brand new track entitled “I Will Not Serve” to connect their past with the present.

The album was recorded and mixed by Francis Perron at RadicArt Recording Studio in Canada and its artwork (as well as the art for the attached singles, to be seen above!) was once again created by VOIVOD drummer Michel “Away” Langevin.
