La band Alternative Metal Noiskin annuncia l’album di debutto “Hold Sway Over”.
I Noiskin sono un gruppo Alternative Metal di Bergamo nato nel 2015 dall’unione di 4 musicisti provenienti da diverse realtà musicali.
Dopo un anno dalla formazione rilasciano il loro primo singolo “Haze” accompagnato da un caratteristico videoclip girato tra le montagne del Trentino e distribuito da Vevo.
Il gruppo si esibisce in diverse manifestazioni tra cui Rockin Park, Clamore Festival, Emergenza Festival e nel frattempo scrive nuovi brani che porteranno alla realizzazione delle 10 tracce di “Hold Sway Over”; album di debutto che uscirà il prossimo 19 Febbraio per l’etichetta Freemood ed edizioni Tanzan Music.
Il disco è stato registrato e mixato da Francesco Benelli e masterizzato da Michele Luppi, tastierista degli Whitesnake.
L’uscita dell’album verrà preceduta dal singolo e title track del disco “Hold Sway Over”, che verrà pubblicato il 17 Gennaio assieme ad un nuovo videoclip.

Il nuovo album dei Seldon “Per Quale Sentiero” affronta una profonda esplorazione dei territori del progressive e anche del jazz-rock. I sette brani hanno una durata consistente e sono pregni di parti strumentali intense e raffinate, accostate a testi pieni di suggestioni surreali, drammatiche e fantascientifiche, con riferimenti sempre più diretti al mondo immaginifico di Asimov. Il titolo, che è una title track, sta a significare la metafora ricorrente all’interno del disco dell’esplorazione o del viaggio dentro noi stessi, comunque sempre verso una destinazione ignota.

Chilean progressive death doom metal band Weight Of Emptiness has released their third video clip of the single “Unbreakable” belonging to the album “Anfractuous Moments For Redemption”, which was re-released this year under the Mexican labels Sun Empire Productions and Concreto Records. Oggi i Break Me Down presentano il loro nuovo singolo ‘TRUST’, l’audio è stato registrato in presa diretta al Legend Club Milano, durante il Rock In Park Festival, mixato e masterizzato da Dario Valentini presso il BXR Studio; le immagini, invece, sono un mix and match di riprese on the road sapientemente amalgamate a momenti live, al montaggio Davide Papadia, insomma, uno scorcio in quello che è la vita del musicista; non solo momenti di adrenalina pura ma anche sacrifici e notti insonni!

New Horizons born in November 2013, after a period of studies and line-up instability. With the arrival of Federico Viviani (drums, Rusty Nails, Sulfur), then, the musical project turned on by Luca Guidi (keyboards, Fall of Darkness), Giacomo Froli (solo guitar), Nicola Giannini (rythmic guitar) and Claudio Froli, began to take shape and finding the right direction. In April 2014. was released the demo ‘The Trail of Shadows’ at Borderline (Pisa), and at the end of a period of meticulous recruiting, the band completed the line-up with the entrance of Oscar Nini (vocals). The following year, the band worked hard to perfect instrumental sheets and to define lyrics and vocal lines. in October 2015 New Horizons plyaed at the prestigious Blitz (Cascina, PI) in order to present a foretaste of the future album. In March 2016, the recordings of ‘Inner Dislocation’ took place at Magnitudo Studios of Ghezzano (Pisa). In 2017 the mixing was finished at Seven7Studio of Calenzano (Florence), and the work was definitively completed with the mastering at Domination Studio (San Marino) of Simone Mularoni (guitarist of DGM). Among the many concerts in Tuscany, it’s worth mentioning the concert at Cycle Club in Calenzano (FI) on 15 April 2015, opening to DGM (masters of italian prog-power metal).

“At The Edge Of Light” è stato registrato nello studio personale di Steve e in diverse località di tutto il mondo. Vedrà la partecipazione di numerosi artisti internazionali tra cui Durga e Lorelei McBroom (ex-coriste dei Pink Floyd), i batteristi Nick D’Virgilio (Spock’s Beard) e Simon Philips (Toto), il suonatore di sitar Sheema, il percussionista Gulli Briem, il suonatore di tar Malik Mansurov e il bassista Jonas Reingold (The Flower Kings, The Sea Within). Inoltre come ospiti speciali ci saranno Paul Stillwell al didgeridoo, Rob Townsend al sax, clarinetto e duduk, Amanda Lehmann alle voci, John Hackett al flauto, Gary O’Toole alla batteria, Roger King e Ben Fenner alle tastiere, Dick Driver al contrabbasso, e Christine Townsend a violino e viola, il tutto curato e registrato da Roger King.
Steve says: “In these dangerous times, deep shadows feel even sharper than usual and we find ourselves standing at the edge of light… The contrast between dark and light weaves its way throughout the album in many ways, from the sense of good fighting evil through to the interplay of dark and light opposites magically combining in cultures, including the heartbeat of India and primal tribal rhythms. Ultimately, this album embraces the need for all musical forms and cultures to connect and celebrate the wonder of unity in this divided world.”
Steve Hackett has established himself as one of Rock music’s finest and recognisable guitarists through his time with the legendary Genesis who he joined in 1971 and a solo career following his departure from Genesis in 1977 and is a hugely influential guitarist particularly in the Progressive Rock genre. ‘At The Edge Of Light’ will be Hackett’s 26th studio album in a solo career that began in 1975 with the release of his debut solo album Voyage Of The Acolyte.
The album is released shortly before Steve performs as special guest on the Cruise To The Edge in February 2019 and the On The Blue cruise featuring Justin Hayward, also in February.
Hackett recently played a series of Genesis Revisited shows with Orchestra and will perform two UK dates with acoustic sets in early December before touring Europe in April/May 2019 and has just announced a UK tour in November 2019 with a much anticipated ‘Selling England By The Pound & Spectral Mornings & Album Highlights’ set. Steve Hackett is renowned as an immensely talented and innovative rock musician. He was lead guitarist with Genesis as part of their classic line up with Gabriel, Collins, Banks and Rutherford, who produced several of the band’s most acclaimed albums including Selling England by the Pound (a favourite of John Lennon) and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. I Frozen Crown hanno pubblicato il video di ‘I Am The Tyrant’, quarto singolo tratto dal fortunatissimo album di debutto ‘The Fallen King’.
I Frozen Crown sono una Melodic Power Metal band con voci femminile e maschile, le cui influenze vanno ricercate nei primi Sonata Arctica e Nightwish ma anche in alcune nuove realtà europee come gli Orden Ogan. La formula del gruppo prevede l’utilizzo di ritornelli epici e di forte impatto, riff melodici e frequenti duetti vocali, il tutto su una solida base Power Metal. Non mancano nemmeno i richiami all’Heavy Metal più classico (Iced Earth, Iron Maiden), al Folk, al Melodic Death (primi Children Of Bodom, Dark Tranquillity), con l’utilizzo frequente di screaming vocals. L’utilizzo delle tastiere arricchisce le canzoni di tonalità contrastanti ed atmosfere epiche, senza tuttavia risultare troppo invasive per il sound della band, che rimane fortemente guitar-oriented. Bleed Someone Dry began their legacy in 2007 releasing the debut album “The World is Falling in Tragedy” through UK’s indie label UK Division. In May 2012 BSD found their dimension with the current line-up, delivering a new style of core, through a heavy and distorted sound, matched with distressful and harsh vocals, influenced by contemporary Mathcore and Deathcore sounds. During September 2012 BSD signed a deal with Kreative Klan to release the album “Subjects”. In Early 2014 BSD started a strong and productive collaboration with producer Christian Donaldson, also known for being Cryptopsy’s guitarist and producer of many killer bands such as The Agonist, Despised Icon and Beyond Creation. Thanks to the new single “It’s a Secret”, the album “Subjects” was reissued by WormHoleDeath, enabling BSD to be booked for a Russian tour in May 2014 supporting the U.S. band I Declare War. BSD then started a collaboration with KCKS Management & Promotion to boost live activities; surely to remember are supporting shows for The Algorithm, Upon a Burning Body, Xibalba, Uneven Structure, The Secret and participation in festivals such Exit Festival and Dissonance Festival. In 2015 BSD released their third album “Post Mortem | Veritas” through Fire Was Born Records and promoted by PR Lodge. The album enriches the already strong collaboration between the band, Donaldson and The Grid Europe (formerly known as MathLab Recording Studio). The album also includes two international guest such as Cj McMahon of Thy Art is Murder & Luca T. Mai of Zu and Mombu. Most recently the band has taken part in many European festivals like Revolution Festival and shows alongside major acts like Gojira, Cryptopsy, Infected Rain, Aversions Crown and Fit For An Autopsy. The band is currently finalizing the recordings of their fourth album called “Unorthodox”, a more modern and progressive approach to songwriting, with influences ranging from Djent to Progressive-Deathcore – mixed and mastered yet again by Chris Donaldson.

Today, 22nd of November, is the 1st anniversary of italian Heavy Metal band HYPERION’s debut album “Dangerous Days” and they’ve decided to celebrate it by releasing a video-clip with live footage from the song “Ultimatum”. “Dangerous Days” contains 8 songs (45 min.). Production and mastering were assembled as to recreate the pure, classic, typical Heavy Metal sound of the 80’s in the vein of bands like JUDAS PRIEST, ANNIHILATOR, IRON MAIDEN, METALLICA, MEGADETH… Cover artwork for “Dangerous Days” was painted by australian artist Alex Reies who originally entitledit “The Lord and the Colonel”.
