Italian melodeath quintet premieres video “Dreaming” from the album “Echoes of Dying Memories”; out in March via Black Lion Records
After getting involved in a spree of live activities, the Rome based five-piece BLACK THERAPY have announced the release of their third album, Echoes of Dying Memories, slated for worldwide release on March 15th via Black Lion Records.
As the first taste of this album, the Italian melodic death metallers have offered a monumental video of the 04th number, Dreaming.
Informs the band: “We wanted the video for Dreaming to be very straight-forward and in-your-face and we think that Andrea from Dvision Zero really nailed it with his rapid editing. We already worked with him years ago and it felt pretty natural for us to ask him if he wanted to work on our new video clip. We hope everyone will enjoy the fast-pace of this video as much as we do!”

Exhibiting their elegant and gloomy music around the world, Palma, Spain’s melancholic doom outfit HELEVORN have posted their new lyric video “A Sail To Sanity” in support of their fourth album “Aamamata” due out on January 23rd via Solitude Productions / Bad Moon Music. “Aamamata” follows their 2014 album “Compassion Forlorn”, 2009’s “Forthcoming Displeasures” and 2005 debut full length “Fragments, which have anchored HELEVORN’s place in the global doom scene.

Australian progressive doom metal band The Eternal have released a new music video for the song ’Don’t Believe Anymore’ from their critically acclaimed album ‘Waiting For The Endless Dawn’.
‘Don’t Believe Anymore’ was originally recorded by Australian band Icehouse on their 1984 album ‘Sidewalk’. On why The Eternal chose this song to be the bands first recorded cover song, Singer / Guitarist Mark Kelson elaborates: ‘Icehouse and frontman Iva Davies are firmly cemented in Australian music history and are a huge part of the sound of Australian music in the 80’s. I felt this song would sit so well amongst our other material and would also be a homage to our Australian heritage. I think this can bring to a wider audience, that Australians have been making dark and emotive music for a very long time’.
The video for ‘Don’t Believe Anymore’ has been beautifully put together by long time collaborators Red Tape Pictures in Brisbane, Australia and can now be viewed on the Inverse Records Youtube channel.
The Eternal have released their 6th full length studio album ‘Waiting For The Endless Dawn’ through Finnish label Inverse Records in August 2018. Featuring 75 minutes of dark melancholic progressive influenced Doom Metal including the epic 20 minute single ‘The Wound’. The band spent over 3 years writing and recording what can be best described as the bands darkest & heaviest album to date.
The album has been receiving rave reviews internationally and also finished in several ’Top 10 albums of 2018’ lists on major metal sites around the world. ‘Waiting For The Endless Dawn’ is now available on all major online services such as Spotify, iTunes & Apple Music through Inverse Records.

Dopo il primo singolo e video d’esordio “Steel”, gli All But Face tornano con il nuovo lavoro intitolato “Dark Angels”; brano che prosegue il percorso artistico del sestetto di Piacenza, in cui le sonorità metalcore si miscelano con elementi di elettronica e dubstep.
Il nuovo singolo è accompagnato da un videoclip diretto da Niccolò Savinelli, dove la band viene raffigurata in un ambiente oscuro tra manichini e luci al neon.
L’atmosfera cupa si collega all’argomento trattato nel testo, ispirato alla vicenda reale di una persona, che nonostante le proprie capacità e la stima che riceveva, si è lasciata convincere del proprio fallimento da un ambiente tossico popolato da figure negative.
Viene così immaginato un dialogo interiore tra questa persona e delle entità chiamate Dark Angels, che malauguratamente l’hanno consumata e portata verso la fine.
I Dark Angels rappresentano così una metafora per descrivere l’oscurità che si insinua nella vita di chi non ha abbastanza forza per impedirlo. Essi non permettono di vedere con chiarezza ciò che accade intorno a chi li subisce.
A questo punto diventa facile farsi convincere da loro che la propria è una vita fatta di frustrazioni, solitudine, inadeguatezza e fallimento, affidarsi a loro per sprofondare sempre più giù, diventando schiavi senza una via d’uscita.
La soluzione però risiede in noi stessi e nella forza di volontà che dobbiamo avere nell’accettarci per come siamo e per quello che abbiamo, impegnandoci nel far andare la nostra vita come solo noi vogliamo così che dal buio possa riemergere la luce più brillante.

Gli All But Face nascono nel 2015 con l’idea di unire il metalcore alla dubstep, prendendo le mosse da gruppi come Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon e Asking Alexandria, e dagli artisti più moderni attivi in entrambi i generi. La formazione raggiunge la sua stabilità nella primavera del 2017, con Fabio Riccó alla voce, Andrea Chicchi e Gianluca Bolzoni alle chitarre, Vincenzo Ferrari al basso, Andrea Losi alla batteria e Matteo Losi all’elettronica. Con questa formazione cominciano a registrare le canzoni che erano state scritte fino a quel momento e a suonare live, processo che porta alla pubblicazione del primo singolo, con il video, “Steel” nel settembre 2018, e di “Dark Angels” (Gennaio 2019). Altra musica e altre novità seguiranno nel corso del 2019.

In 1992, Italy’s S.R.L. was born, their moniker is an acronym for “Società a Responsabilità Limitata (Limited Liability Company)”. The deep meaning of the band name is both how they see society has limited responsibility on a daily occurrence along with being a tribute to the great Italian rock bands of the 70’s such as P.F.M. – Premiata Forneria Marconi, BMS – Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, etc..
With lyrics in Italian and a music style that is a powerful blend of fast thrash death metal, S.R.L. are releasing their next album “Hic Sunt Leones” via Rockshots Records on February 8, 2019. This is the band’s 11th release since their 1995 debut EP “Divieto di Pensiero”. The new album was inspired by the Ancient Roman motto for unexplored and unconquered lands, which is what S.R.L. are doing with this next release.
“We’re exploring new boundaries of our unique style, melting heavy metal with the thrash and death metal energy. The album is such a trip towards the unknown, while each song has got a different mood, melody, and evolution.”

No Echo is hosting the premiere of “Straight Path” / “Future is a Shadow Line”, the new video by Italian noise / post hardcore act NORTHWOODS; the track hailing from the band’s “Wasteland” debut LP, out now via Shove, Brigante and Mothership Records.
“Wasteland” premiered on Cvlt Nation, while the single “City 40” was first released via heavily trafficked portal Echoes and Dust.
A reflection of the band’s diverse background, “Wasteland” draws influence as much from the frenzied and chaotic sound of Converge, Botch and Swedish cult band Breach, as it does the fury and melody of noise rock in the vein of Unsane. “Wasteland” brings something original to the table with a sound that is at once aggressive and honest.
Lyrically the album revolves around the denial of promises for a better future, taking inspiration by the closed cities that once existed in the old Soviet Union, where a very high standard of living came at a price of radioactive contamination. A song such as “Future is a Shadow Line” is based on a quote by Polish/British writer Conrad, who once described the last strip of land visible from the sea – the shadow line – as a metaphor for the future.
NORTHWOODS recorded “Wasteland” in the winter of early 2018 at Cinquequarti Music Studio under the watchful production of Lorenzo Amato. The cover displays a rare photograph licensed by NASA.

NORTHWOODS was first brought together in 2015, by a group of veterans of the Italian underground scene. The members of the band aimed to create something original – fierce, beautiful and honest, in order to contribute back to the pantheon of the great and timeless music that shaped the Italian hardcore scene. Their self-titled debut EP was released in 2016 and soon after the band began what would grow be substantial touring of the material with a strong and memorable live set.

I Rhapsody Of Fire occupano una posizione speciale nel variegato mondo dell’heavy metal: come pochi altri, la band italiana è sinonimo di Metal sinfonico caratterizzato da velocità, grande pathos e raffinatezza tecnica. Un’altra caratteristica che i fan della band amano è che dall’inizio della loro carriera, quando erano ancora solo Rhapsody, le loro canzoni hanno presentato delle vere e proprie saghe mitologiche. A chi non piace ricordare classici come Legendary Tales (1997), Symphony Of Enchanted Lands (1998) o Dawn Of Victory (2000)? I Rhapsody Of Fire sono tornati ora con la forza di quegli album e alcune novità.
Prima di tutto, c’è stato un importante cambiamento di line up: il vocalist Giacomo Voli al timone del gruppo negli ultimi tre anni non solo ha accettato il potente patrimonio, ma ha anche dato un nuovo slancio alla musica dei Rhapsody Of Fire. La potenza vocale di Voli ha impressionano il tastierista Alex Staropoli, fondatore dei Rhapsody Of Fire “Giacomo è come una boccata d’aria fresca per il gruppo e la sua voce espressiva è stata una grande fonte d’ispirazione per le mie composizioni. Questo è uno dei motivi per cui il nostro songwriting sembra di nuovo più positivo”.
La loro ultima registrazione in studio, The Eighth Mountain, combina canzoni velocissime e cori epici con arrangiamenti orchestrali sontuosi raggiunti lavorando nuovamente con un’orchestra importante. Questa volta i musicisti della acclamata Bulgarian National Symphony Orchestra di Sofia, rinomata per il suo contributo a più di 600 colonne sonore di film, sono stati determinanti nella registrazione del suono complessivo di The Eighth Mountain, sublime e ricco di atmosfera. Anche due cori con più di 20 cantanti, così come un certo numero di solisti che suonano strumenti medievali, meritano di essere menzionati. L’album è stato mixato e masterizzato da Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann (Orden Ogan), un esperto riconosciuto di suoni spettrali.
Il contenuto lirico di The Eighth Mountain segna l’inizio di una nuova storia, sviluppata da Roby De Micheli e Alex Staropoli con il titolo di “Nephilim’s Empire Saga” che si basa su quegli affascinanti elementi fantasy per i quali i Rhapsody Of Fire sono famosi. “La gente scoprirà più dettagli della saga quando ascolterà i testi”, dice Staropoli non volendo rivelare tutti i segreti dell’album.
L’album è inoltre arricchito dall’affascinante copertina illustrata per gentile concessione di Alex Charleux, con il quale i Rhapsody Of Fire hanno già collaborato alla compilation Legendary Years (2017). Staropoli: “L’artwork è davvero mozzafiato e ha un effetto incredibilmente impressionante, in particolare la versione in vinile. Sarebbe impossibile illustrare la nuova saga in maniera migliore di questa copertina”

La canzone è tratta dal loro ultimo lavoro “A Bad Mess”, prodotto dall’acclamato produttore Jaime Gomez Arellano (Paradise Lost, Angel Witch, Cathedral, Primordial, Sólstafir) e pubblicato da Fuel Records/Self nel 2018, ad oggi il manifesto più schietto e coerente di una proposta musicale impetuosa e originale.
“‘Never On Your Mouth’ è il secondo video/singolo dell’album ‘A Bad Mess’. È una canzone molto rock con un testo ‘hard’, dove raccontiamo di una ragazza che ha perso la testa per un tipo al quale della ragazza in questione poco interessa e che la usa solo per sfogare le sue voglie sessuali. Un argomento che può sembrare divertente, ma che in realtà vuole trasmettere un messaggio molto triste. La cosa ovviamente può essere vista anche in senso contrario: una ragazza che usa un ragazzo che ha perso la testa per lei”, spiega il frontman e mastermind G.M. Gain.
Creati nella provincia di Bergamo nel gennaio del 1997 per mano del cantante/chitarrista, principale compositore e unico membro della formazione originale G.M. Gain, i NEMESIS INFERI rispondono ad una precisa esigenza di esplorare le influenze groove metal e l’immaginario gotico di quattro musicisti con diversi anni di esperienza alle spalle.
Lo stile dei NEMESIS INFERI non si limita a rielaborare influenze tutt’altro che scontate come il grunge più sanguigno, le recenti evoluzioni dell’hard rock americano e le radici del metal estremo, ma rivolge anche la propria ispirazione all’idea di un sound davvero personale e immediatamente riconoscibile. Fondendo il romanticismo tragico dei Type O Negative con il freddo isolazionismo dei Bathory, i viaggi lisergici dei Led Zeppelin con l’impatto visuale di Rob Zombie, la rabbiosa inquietudine degli Slayer col rassegnato dolore degli Alice In Chains, i NEMESIS INFERI si dimostrano capaci di allestire un enorme effetto cinematografico sull’ascoltatore.

Italian heavy metallers SCALA MERCALLI have finished mixing their new album “Indipendence” at ALPHA OMEGA Studio’s by Alex Azzali. The Album is set to be released on January 25th. Today the band unleashes a new video for “Be Strong”, taken from “Indipendence”, watch it here:
The song is an encouragement in trying to find the strength in all circumstances, fighting for own dreams and ideals, without being overcome by everyday difficulties of life that can sometimes be very hard and heavy.
Stated the band on the song: “Being strong doesn’t mean never falling down, but finding the strength to always get up and move forward. May this song help you all, Metalheads! ”
“Indipendence” will be about the first part of Italian Risorgimento, from Naple’s Reign ruled by King Murat until Mazzini’s Roman Republic, including episodes on Mille (The Expedition of the Thousand) and Brigandage, with some of their main characters. The band will wear the new uniform inspired by the units, from north to south, that in the above-mentioned period fought side by side with the people and contributed with hard sacrifices to build Italian nation.

“Ad Jubilaeum” is a concept album focusing on Christianity and its religious political power from antiquity to the present day The first songs of the album, At the hands of black inquisition and Rise, speak of the holy inquisition and the times of the crusades, Where the angels die and Vaticanum instead focus on the Vatican and the power of the church, then proceed with The Bible Code and Trinitity dealing with more complex issues, that is the code hidden behind the rows of the holy bible and the concept of trinity one of the most fascinating religious mysteries in Christian history. They conclude the album The fall of any gods and Finis dierum, both songs express the uncertainty of human destiny and its fragility toward faith.

Oceangrave has been choosen has 2nd single from “Deep Water Flames”, to be released by the Chilean record label Australis Records.
DWF was produced by Luis Soto (Target – Guitar) and Erick Martinez (Cries, Testigo, Cabrio) at Orange Studios Orange in Santiago de Chile and mixed by Erick Martinez. For the mastering process, Target decided to work under the expert vision of the wolrdwide awarded swedish producer Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Daylight Dies, Bloodbath) at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden.
The french artist Dehn Sora, known by his work with several avant-gard and black metal bands such as Blut Aus Nord, Manes, Ulver, Deathspell Omega and Code, was in charge of the artistic vision behind Deep Water Flames.
DWF includes the guest colaboration of two of the greatest Hard Core and Doom Metal local artists; Jerónimo Ruiz (Entrefuego) and Juan Escobar (Ex Mar de Grises).

As part of an analogy and, translated into a conceptual story, Oceangrave plunges us into exile, memories and destiny as some of the topics covered by Deep Water Flames in its history. Concept merged within the melodies in crescendo, created as an experiment several years ago.
Oceangrave; it goes beyond its meaning; A grave for oceans, where they can lay to death. It takes us to disappointments buried within us and the decisions we make to get away trying to find our own ways.
– From atmospheres full of convictions, we throw ourselves into a free fall towards uncertainties so to stop at the surface of memories, and only from there the exile begins to germinate.
