Italian doom/post-metal band WOWS have teamed up with Decibel to reveal their video for “Chakpori”. The song is taken from their album Aion which was released via Argonauta Records.
The band commented “The first time we saw this video, we couldn’t believe what we were looking at, we just knew that is the best video we have so far. “The music totally fuses with the images and the storyline is just thrilling throughout all the length of the song. The locations are familiar because that’s where we all live, it’s the Garda Lake, but the story takes the whole thing magically back in the past. Maybe it all happened for real!”

Perth based Australian progressive metal band Nucleust have dropped a new and hard hitting video for The Symphony Of Revenge, warning – it’s pretty graphic!
This track comes from the bands debut album Terra Cerebral which was released July last year.
“The instrumental of the track was written by guitarist Max Palizban with the story in mind, and vocalist Shannon Marston and Max wrote the lyrics together that tells the story of a fictional girl who is raped and her life is affected dramatically by this awful event. Her father who is unhappy with the result of an investigation decides to take matters into his own hands resulting in the demise of the rapist only to find that his vigilante justice, although momentarily satisfying did not remove the pain from his daughter’s life. This changed all their lives forever not necessarily for the better. Some wounds will never heal.” – Nucleust

Withdrawal
Vocalist Jón Aldará comments, “Withdrawal moves Barren Earth into previously unexplored territory, making it an unorthodox album closer, but one that makes complete sense to us. It is the song that inspired the album title, and it’s theme of social anxiety is the glue which binds the songs together, lyrically.”
Drummer Marko Tarvonen adds, “Barren Earth was always heavily categorised as death metal or prog for mixing those two influences. With Withdrawal we wanted to do something that is neither. Instead this song is a slowly growing rock ballad where the instrumentation has been kept minimal giving most room for Jón’s voice. It’s the ballad that Scorpions or King Crimson never did!”
“Withdrawal” is available as a digital single on all download and streaming platforms and as an Instant Grat Track on iTunes and Amazon. Preorders for all physical formats of “A Complex of Cages” are also available as of now.

Dutch melodic death metal band PUREST OF PAIN will be the releasing their debut album “Solipsis” on March 1st, 2018 to follow their 2013 single “Momentum” and 2011 EP “Revelations In Obscurity”.
Lead by guitarist and main songwriter Merel Bechtold of DELAIN, whom also performs in much respected bands MaYaN and The Gentle Storm/Anneke van Giersbergen, the energetic quintet from Holland, which now includes DELAIN drummer Joey de Boer is a force to be reckoned with. Combining Scandinavian metal influences with groove, ambiance, tone and melody, the band has teamed up with NoCleanSinging.com for the North American premiere of their lyric video and second single “The Solipsist”.
Seven years in the making, from the writing process up to the final mastering to launching a successful online crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo (raising over 18,000 Euros, thank you video here), along with increasing their funds through live performances, which saw them open for such bands as Opeth, Textures, Suicide Silence, Unearth and Attack Attack! plus an unforgettable slot at Wacken in 2014. “Solipsis” is 14 tracks of brutality blended with groove and emotion produced by Merel Bechtold with recording done at Mantis Audio Studio (Delain) and mastering by Jens Jorgen (Opeth, Arch Enemy, Soilwork).
Guitarist Merel Bechtold comments:
“‘Solipsis’ is a guitar oriented record, is has been recorded as organic as possible: partly at home, partly at Mantis Audio Studio. The song ‘E.M.D.R.’ is written by fellow guitarist Michael van Eck. All the other songs were summoned by myself. The lyrics are written by vocalist J.D. Kaye. And even though the music is at times technical and challenging, it’s undeniably driven by relentless groove, enhanced by hugely melodic passages, wonderful tone and moments of ambient clarity.”
“Solipsis” will be available on CD, Vinyl plus as a digital release and is available for pre-order here. Their single “Terra Nil” is available for download and stream on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, Deezer.
The CD and Vinyl versions have slightly altered artwork. Merel Bechtold was responsible for its concept and bass player Frank van Leeuwen designed and finalized the covers.

The Marburg based death metallers Corrosive have released a video for the track “Taste The Pain”, taken from their latest album “Lucifer Gave The Faith”, which is available since December 8th. In the opening credits of the video, which contains controversial scenes, the band publishes the following statement: “This video is not intended to incite people to harass others sexuality, nor do we glorify any kind of violence and abuse. The song is written through the eyes of an agressor. It is intended to raise awareness of the problem of molestation.”

THE NEGATION come back with a new video clip “The End Of Cycle” (full version) (already 9964 views!) and are ready to stike Mexico !
THE NEGATION offers a deep immersion into his characteristic universe, acted insolently towards and darkness, with his new video clip directed by Quantic Arts, after brutalized the audience since then touring and sharing the stage with the likes of Marduk, Belphegor, Inquisition, Gorgoroth, Kampfar, Arkona … “The End Of Cycle” comes from the second full-length opus, “Memento Mori”, back in July 2015 gathering rave comments from the worldwide medias such as “A relentless Black Metal assault that will not give you a break” [CvltNation] or “A prime example of what Black Metal was created to be” [Metal Temple], eventually getting selected #13 best 2015 album at the Lair of Filth, voted #5 best French Metal album of 2015 by France’s VS-Webzine readers.
THE NEGATION is not only a musical or lyrical concept: experiencing a THE NEGATION show is like a deflagration that comes to shake your beliefs and your ground. It’s being forced to face yourself, the void of your own existence, the vain and hopeless meaning and achievements of your so-called will, the total absence of “why?” we all try to hide deep inside… in total Negation.
THE NEGATION will be on tour with Mortis Mutilati in March 2018 in Mexico.

Dutch Dark Rock Band Premieres Captivating Clip for “The Alpha”
Dool is the fast-rising hard rock band featuring (former) members of The Devil’s Blood, Gold, Herder and singer Ryanne van Dorst. The group has become a hotly-tipped buzz band in underground circles on the strength of its celebrated debut album, Here Now, There Then (stream here), and eye-opening live performances. Dool has just released a new video for the song “The Alpha”, which Loudwire is aptly calling “hypnotic dream sludge” and “a dense wall of a Neurosis-meets-Om funereal haze”. Metal Hammer UK attests that “there’s an attention to detail and layering of lush, symbolic imagery that puts it in a league of its own.” “Watch Dool’s “The Alpha” video at this location.
“The video for “The Alpha” is as well a celebration of will power as it is an ode to transformation, in parallel with the lyrics of the song,” comments Ryanne van Dorst. “It has been truly inspiring to work on this video, and we hope it empowers you as much as it empowers us”.
Dutch for “wandering”, the sound of Dool is distinct and dynamic, radiating an undeniable raw energy. An album of supreme songwriting and remarkable musical diversity, Here Now, There Then blends classic hard rock, gothic pop and psychedelic metal in an ever-surprising manner. Carried by infinite, hypnotic guitar lines, Dool hits every pressure point, striking with the deadly precision of a venomous asp.

“‘Here Now, There Then’ is rife with earworm-y melodies, the production is warm and inviting, and van Dorst’s voice is powerful without seeming harsh or overbearing. Their debut album follows a much-hyped appearance at Roadburn 2016, and offers is a uniquely hypnotic, slow-burning take on 70s hard rock and psychedelia, with showy splashes of goth rock.” – NOISEY
“‘Here Now, There Then’ works so well, in part, because vocalist Ryanne van Dorst has a relatively unique voice as far as anything resembling metal goes. ‘Here Now, There Then’ is a cohesive, dark, and catchy gothic rock record” – INVISIBLE ORANGES

Miami noise rock/alt metal powerhouse WRONG’s (members of Torche, ex-Capsule, ex-Kylesa) sophomore album Feel Great will make you feel the exact opposite of great. The band has created a moody and eclectic record, albeit the moods are pissed and the eclecticism is various levels of pissed. On Feel Great, WRONG has mastered the arts of bludgeoning groove, riff, tone, and grit, creating eleven songs that are faster, heavier, angrier yet also more melodic than their breakout debut. The album was self-produced by the band and recorded at various studios around Miami with mixing handled by guitarist Ryan Haft and artwork by Rick Smith of TORCHE. WRONG is the exact type of rock band the world needs in 2018, uncompromising, aggressive and ready to tear the whole damn place to bits.
Watch WRONG’s new music video for “Culminate” via YouTube AT THIS LOCATION. The video directed and shot by Mike Ruiz and Eric Hernandez features the band jamming in their practice space followed by a wild night out on the town…WRONG style.
WRONG comments on the new video: “An honest representation of what this band is about; four people, with varying lengths of hair, doing what they love to do. And sometimes… we take a break and get some dinner.”

The band comments, “‘Murder Your Dreams’ shows a side of our musicality that was always there but never revealed itself in our music before. Just when we needed it, The Wipers came knocking and we crushed them to bits. A bittersweet taste of ‘Superbia’ in its most compact form.”
Video director Luuk Bouwman explains, “The video is based on chase and falling dreams – which I felt would fit well with the song. I remembered a great scene in the ‘Nightmare on Elmstreet’ series in which the characters are stuck in a loop. So I wanted to create a nightmare-like slapstick in which the protagonist is condemned to keep falling, eternally. I was already joking that it was an autobiographical story and as if it was an ominous prophecy, a day after finishing the video I fell really hard on a bridge because of black ice. I broke my arm, cheekbone and eye socket. So last week I was in surgery to reconstruct my face.”
DEATH ALLEY already raised attention with their debut album “Black Magick Boogieland” in 2015. The band, revolving around former The Devil’s Blood guitarist Oeds Beydals, singer Douwe Truijens, Swedish drummer Uno Bruniusson (ex-In Solitude) and latest addition Sander Bus on bass, mainline an unorthodox cross contamination of psychedelic hard rock and punk, played with excellent precision and power. The spirit of Bad Brains and King Crimson, Hawkwind and Poison Idea, and hints of The Stooges and Black Sabbath-worship form the fundament for DEATH ALLEY’s solid rock and roll presented with metal finesse and a pitch black psychedelic soul cherry on top.
