Dalla mezzanotte del 1 gennaio i DEATH SS hanno reso disponibile il video dell’ultimo singolo “Madness Of Love”, il secondo singolo tratto dal nuovo album “Rock’N’Roll Armageddon”, disco che ha portato la band ai vertici delle classifiche italiane (#1 su Amazon Charts, sezione Rock; #1 sulla classifica pop-rock Mondadori; #42 posto nelle classifiche FIMI e “Sorrisi e Canzoni TV”). Torino, 25 dicembre 2018: il nuovo singolo di The Boring Death dal titolo “No Punk No Love” è disponibile da oggi in streaming e download su tutte le piattaforme di musica digitale.
I The Boring Death sono una band emergente di Alternative Rock della scena torinese. La band è attiva dal 2011 e vanta all’attivo diverse pubblicazioni che esprimono molto bene il loro stile musicale incentrato sulla sperimentazione. Rappresentano al momento l’unico progetto di respiro internazionale della neonata etichetta discografica “The Boring Label” la quale ne eredita anche il nome. Il brano “No punk no Love”, in uscita il giorno di Natale, ripercorre il successo di “Punk Love” singolo presente nell’album “Ego” uscito nel settembre di quest’anno.
“Volevamo fare un regalo di Natale ai nostri fan” spiega Laura, bassista della band “e abbiamo pensato ad un pezzo che potesse richiamare “Punk Love”, essendo quest’ultimo molto amato dal nostro pubblico.”
“Il collegamento a “Punk Love” è chiaro” afferma Alessio, front man e cantante della band “nelle melodie e nello stile, ma “No Punk No Love” è in perfetta contrapposizione ad essa: il tema è l’insoddisfazione generale, la rabbia, la frustrazione che deriva dalle ingiustizie.”
“Siamo anti-conformisti per natura”dichiara Andrea, batterista della band “Non siamo contrari al Natale, intendiamoci, ma dovevamo cogliere l’occasione per parlare delle cose che tentiamo di nascondere nei giorni di festa.”
Anti-Natale forse no, ma anti-Bublè forse sì. Sì perché “No Punk No Love” è un brano dedicato ai fan, ma anche a coloro che non amano gli effetti “imbonitori” del Natale e preferiscono le note tese e potenti del rock per fare i bilanci di un anno intero e affrontare quello nuovo. Il ritmo incalzante, le schitarrate e l’assolo del brano servono a dare una scossa nei giorni dell’ingrasso: <> concludono sorridendo.

I THE SCARS IN PNEUMA hanno inizialmente preso vita come progetto solista di Lorenzo Marchello (voce / chitarre / basso) all’inizio del 2017, per poi diventare una band a tutti gli effetti quando Francesco Lupi (chitarre) e Daniele Valseriati (batteria) hanno offerto il proprio contributo nel corso del medesimo anno.
Musicalmente i THE SCARS IN PNEUMA propongono una propria visione del black metal, a volte definibile come un mix di black metal, death metal e spunti doom, spesso dominata da un melodico lavoro di chitarra e da un velo di epicità. Fra le principali influenze e punti di riferimento sono citabili Dissection, Mgła, Be’lakor, Rotting Christ, Forgotten Tomb, Blut Aus Nord, Emperor.
A livello lirico, i THE SCARS IN PNEUMA trattano tematiche come il confronto con i propri demoni interiori, i rimpianti della vita, lo scorrere del tempo, la perdita dei propri cari.

“‘Lumina Aurea’ is a song I would never want to write in my life,” Raivio says. “It is an open, bleeding black wound from the last two and half years of my life. But I had to write it out. I could not back down from it. The way I wrote and recorded ‘Lumina Aurea’ was so rough emotionally and physically that I think I will never talk about it public. I know this road will go on forever as a part of me, but I have also made a peace with it—that I will never have peace with it. And that the life and the journey here must still go on for a while for those of us remaining. I knew that if I would go any deeper on that road with the album as I did with ‘Lumina Aurea,’ the path would not end well. So, I quickly realized that instead I will write an album that will manifest loud and clear that after all, ‘Love is always stronger than death.’ I wanted to find that angle for ‘When A Shadow Is Forced into the Light’. This album is like a weapon for myself. A burning light, a burning torch. Victorious and proud.”
“The idea for this short-film like music video came from Juha Raivio and we tweaked the idea a bit to make the story fit into the beautiful landscapes we were going to film it in. The video has been filmed in several locations around Northern Finland and Lappland. We would like to leave the meaning of the story a bit open and to let everyone watching it to make their own conclusions and let their imagination flow. As obvious, things such as grief, torment and even love are present through the video. This is pretty much all we would like to open about it. Some kind of mysticism there definitely is. It was a great pleasure for us to get work with this project, since the song has such a meaning for Juha,” stats Ranta.

Dutch black metallers Weltschmerz just released the first video for the song Threnody For Those Who Wander Under the Sun. The track comes from their 2018 album ‘Illustra Nos’, which was released by Redefining Darkness Records. It showcases the bands development over the last ten years and incorporates more sinister and dissonant elements into its sound.

I doomsters Godwatt hanno rilasciato il videoclip del brano “Morendo”, estratto dal loro ultimo album “Necropolis”, uscito ad inizio di quest’anno su Jolly Roger Records nei formati Picture Lp, Cd e Digitale. Italian alternative rock band Steelawake have released a new official video taken from their recently released self-titled debut album. The track Hot Mess is a great example of the melody and hooks mixed with passion and aggression that Steelawake bring to the table.
Steelawake contains 13 tracks of alternative rock, melodic and powerful at the same time. The tracks have a strong and raw male voice combined with clear and sweet female background vocals. During these five years the band deals with various concerts consolidating its reputation of technical and solid band and gets very good reviews, a good critical acclaim culminating in a record deal signed with INSANITY RECORDS, Polish label particularly impressed by the band’s progressive metal proposal!!! “Dead World” is born, first official full-length album accompanied by a video clip of the single “Fear Of A Suffocated Wrath”!!!
It’s 2009 and the band, after several dates in the north of Italy, faces the first strong line-up change!!! The album, promoted by several videos, interviews and various concerts culminating with the participation at the MASTERS OF ROCK Festival in Czech Republic, receives great reviews highlightning the band’s personality and variety of style!!!

HISS FROM THE MOAT, the transcontinental black/death metal band founded by acclaimed drummer James Payne (Vital Remains, Hour of Penance), have unveiled a video for the title track of their sophomore album “The Harrier,” due out via M-Theory Audio on February 22, 2019. In addition, the M-Theory webshop has launched the pre-order for “The Harrier,” which is available on CD and limited-edition moat-black vinyl (200 copies). “The song, ‘The Harrier,’ represents the identity of the album both for the instrumental part and the lyrics. The instrumental part is composed by many dynamic parts that create crescendos that then explode into more opened and epic parts, which is also how we composed the album itself — powerful, but not only fast,” explains drummer James Payne. “The lyrics, instead, are composed from extracts of sacred and political texts (as it’s indicated from the inscription in brackets) that, isolated and used in a more direct way, express and show how violent and brutal these books are, and sums up a good part of what the album itself talks about.
The video is composed from the lyrics that are supported from some illustrations that represent what the lyrics are saying. We chose to do this as a reference to how the illustrations were used in the past, to explain to whoever couldn’t read, what was written in the sacred texts. We wanted to do the same thing here since, nowadays, almost everybody can read, but everyone have their own interpretation of whatever is written, instead, since we have a specific and clear message to deliver, we’ve used the images to kind of have the same role that they had in the past — to explain to whoever gets our message, the meaning of it, to avoid misinterpretations.”
“The Harrier” – which features cover artwork by Stefano Bonora – was recorded, mixed and mastered at Milan’s SPVN Studio with Stefano Orkid Santi, who produced the latest Cripple Bastards album and previously worked as live engineer for bands such as Origin, Suffocation and Cattle Decapitation.
The U.S.-based Payne formed HISS FROM THE MOAT with two Italian friends – bassist/vocalist Carlo Cremascoli and guitarist Giacomo Poli – when he was just 18 years old. In 2009, the group self-released their debut EP, “The Carved Flesh Message,” which they supported by performing alongside the likes of Psycroptic, Skeletonwitch and The Black Dahlia Murder.
Four years later, HISS FROM THE MOAT released their debut full-length, “Misanthropy,” via Lacerated Enemy/Nuclear Blast. The band’s intense use of both extremes of death and black metal produced an album that stood alongside the delivery of acts such as Behemoth, Belphegor and Rotting Christ.
Following the release of the album, HISS FROM THE MOAT embarked on an extensive tour across Russia, Europe and Asia, delivering aggressive and visually engaging performances backed by the blackened intensity of the band’s new material. During this period, Payne left the legendary death metal act Vital Remains – a group he joined following a two-year stint with Italian death metal powerhouse Hour of Penance – to focus full-time on HISS FROM THE MOAT, and the band extended from a three-piece to a quartet with the addition of Max Cirelli (guitar/vocals).
Over the past two years, the band has toured extensively worldwide while working between the U.S. and Italy to write “The Harrier.” Now, HISS FROM THE MOAT aim to unleash another sonic onslaught that captures the band’s range of death and black metal inspiration while creating a unique and intense presence in the world of extreme music.

Malamorte; the side project of Alex Nunziati (Lord Vampyr, Cain, Nailed God, Shadowsreign, Sepolcrum, ex VII Arcano, ex Theatres des Vampires) is a ferocious evil metal band hailing from Italy. Telling tales of the occult, mysticism and more with a back drop of power, thrash and black metal, the band will be offering their third full length “Hell For All” via Rockshots Records on January 25, 2019 (Europe) and February 8, 2019 (North America). Ready to resurrect the “Antichrist”, the band is sacrificing their first lyric video in support of the album.
“Hell For All” was written as a cohesive album, with each song being composed in a complementary fashion to the rest of the tracks. Compared to their 2016 album “Devilish Illusions”, this new record brings more thrash and power elements as the band deviates from their black metal origins.

MALAMORTE is a side project of Alex Nunziati (Lord Vampyr, Cain, Nailed God, Shadowsreign, Sepolcrum, ex VII Arcano, ex Theatres des Vampires) and was born in 2009. The first album “The Fall of Babylon” was recorded in 2009 and out on CD and tape in 2014. In 2015 “Devilish Illusions” is out, produced by MurdHer Records & Satanath Records. In 2016 they went to the studio in October to record the new album. After two album of Heavy/Black Metal the new way for the next album is oriented towards Occult/Doom Heavy Metal sound (Mercyful Fate, Black Sabbath). In March 2017, Malamorte signed a worldwide deal with Pure Steel Records and in June 2017 the new album “Satan Goes to Heaven to Destroy the Kingdom of God” was released.

Hell’s Guardian released their new album, entitled “As Above So Below” on September 14th 2018. The album has been recorded by Media Factory Esine studios of Fabrizio Romani and mixed and mastered by Michele Guaitoli (Temperance, Kaledon) at the Groove Factory Studios in Udine and hosts singers like Adrienne Cowan (Winds of Plague, Light & Shade), Marco Pastorino (Temperance) also as vocal producer and Ark Nattlig Ulv (Ulvedharr).

“Three years after the release of our last record, we can say that this new album will mark a musical turning point for us, abandoning the fantasy themes and focusing on real issues that life can reserve in each

All this with a sound that is closer and closer to the typical Scandinavian Melodic Death mold with tight rhythms, guitar riffs which are less epic but with impact, and orchestrations designed by Samuele Faulisi (Atlas Pain), from typical classical instruments up to modern parts with synths, more focused collaborations, from the guest singers to the musicians who collaborated with us in the studio, they made everything more natural and spontaneous without forcings, all with a powerful mix.”
